Hi, I’m David, a software developer based in Birmingham, UK.

After completing my PhD in 1998, I was employed as a software developer until 2004, when my then employer ceased trading. Taking this as an opportunity to become self-employed, I began writing and marketing my own software. In 2006, I stopped full-time work in order to care for my son, but continued working part-time from home as a freelance technical translator.

In 2021, I resumed my software career when I joined fresh produce EPR company Prophet PLC as a C++ Software Developer. Since then I have again enjoyed having the opportunity to work as part of an expert team on challenging and interesting projects.
